We are very excited to share our 1st interview. We have been in touch with Sahil CEO of Applancer.co and Prabhjit Kaur, she is PR Manger in Applancer.co and helped us a lot to get an exclusive interview with Mr. Sahil. The team is really amazing and helpful, had a great time being in touch with them. We tried to cover every aspect from thinking an idea to turning it into a reality. Applancer.co is a platform which helps a user to personally evaluate developers & teams to introduce them for user’s next big app project. They help the user to pick the right agency or team from their city or from around the world. The platform keeps user secure. Deposit payments and release them only after users are satisfied with the job and its complete.

Who is Sahil Kohli?

Mr. Sahil Kohli is CEO of Applancer.co and has initiated this platform in December’16. He bootstrapped Applancer as having previous experience of it during graduation in PEC, Chandigarh with Xerocopy and a rich exposure in Day trading for Brazilian and UK markets helped a lot.

  1. What is the purpose of company’s existence? What is its main value proposition?

Applancer is a market place for app developers across globe. It is a market place which brings app developers and project clients under one roof so that app developers can get the best kick start in IT industry and can compete with best in industry.

 

  1. Who is the company’s ideal customer and how does the company currently approach them?

We are focusing on app developers and companies across globe. As we are a marketplace and already made our presence felt, many portals have covered our success story, so app developers are approaching on their own.

 

  1. How did the company get to where it is today?

It is solely on the basis of how we are handling our customers which no other competitor is doing. Also, I would like to share the rocking team that we are having at Applancer, who are putting their best to make it a success.

 

  1. What is the key challenge developers faces in this industry?

Majority of app developers do not get their desired project to work up, we at Applancer is trying to make their dream come true. Applancer  bring app developers and project clients under one umbrella and app developers can have the best projects to work upon.

  1. What are the company’s core values? why?

Applancer’s driving pillars are – transparency, secrecy, dynamism and human touch. We ensure that every app developer and project client should be at ease and get the best during their project completion. Serving best to its user is the goal of every business and we ensure the same.

 

  1. How do you describe your culture?

“For the Team, By the Team”. Our work culture is that each and every member is always welcome to share their viewpoints without hesitation. We plan out various employee engagement programs and get ourselves involved in activities and games which ease our team members and brings out best creativity.

 

  1. Who is the ideal candidate for this company?

A candidate who is self-driven and takes responsibility of their department expertise. We prefer a candidate who is always with a solution, not part of the problem.

 

  1. Why did you create the culture to be this way? What ideals does it stem from?

Every company revolves around their employees. There is a saying – “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy” and it is all true. To make it implement in an organization, we brain storm with the team as a whole and choose the best in favor of team.

  1. Where do you want the company to be in next 3 years?

By 2019, our 80% revenue generation will be through project completion and we will be ruling IT industry being a market place/hub for app developers.

 

  1. What drives you to have this vision? Why are you passionate about this?

As being an entrepreneur since graduation days from PEC, Chandigarh, before launching Applancer, I was heading Exousia Tech for 2 years. At that time, I got through so many loopholes that other market players are having. I thought of coming up a new platform which should be of international standards and covering up all loopholes and which should be friendly with app developer. And yes, this platform is really very close to my heart.

 

  1. Do you think that the company will ever need outside investors?

Well, to reach on top, there are always internal and external factors that influence. We can handle internal factors and to handle external factors we will definitely go in for outside investors to give tough competition to biggest market player, but for that there is still some time.

  1. What are the company’s main objectives in the next year?

Our main objective for 2018 is to sweep Indian IT market and make Applancer as a brand among app developers and project clients.

 

  1. What are the greatest obstacles for the company this year? How are you planning to overcome them?

Launching a platform of international level is itself the greatest obstacle. But yes, we were determined and the outcome is that within small span of time, we are able to create a niche for ourselves and working dedicatedly to make it a huge success.

 

  1. How do you communicate the strategy to the team?

Clear communication to the team is really very crucial task. So, we at Applancer believes that brainstorming is need of an hour to have best of the ideas to form the strategy and it builds trust within the team that yes, their viewpoints are always welcome.
