Nowadays you cannot imagine a life without a smartphone in your pocket, it may be used for navigation using maps, ordering grocery, food or medicines and getting guidance regarding life, health or job we can do almost anything by just using smart phones apps. By keeping in view the demand and necessity of mobile phones many startups have cropped up and flourished using smartphones platforms only, as they provide instant help to user wherever and whenever needed. As we all know Bengaluru is known as a land of startup, the same way now Delhi – NCR region is upbringing itself as a plot for mobile based startups. Here, are some of the mobile focused startups from Delhi – NCR:

  1. 1mg:

1mg is a now a well-known mobile app which aims to be the one health app for all consumers. It provides information regarding various health issues along with its cure and prevention; you can buy online medicines and can search doctor and pathology in nearby locality too.

The Gurugram (Gurgaon) based venture founded as HealthKartPlus in 2012 by Prashant Tandon, Vikas Chauhan, Gaurav Agarwal, which currently having over five million app downloads and 25 million monthly page views from over two million unique providers. The company rated as best “Made in India” app by Apple in 2014 and VC Circle Award for the “Most Promising Healthcare Startup”.

  1. Cashify:

This Gurgaon-based company, Cashify founded by Mandeep Manocha and Nakul Kumar enables user to sell their old electronic gadgets instantly. The platform provides an Assured sale service that takes no more than 60 seconds and for this it partnered with e-commerce companies, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and offline retailers Croma Retail and HP to replace phones.

It was launched in 2013, along with reselling it offers Data backup and restore, Data transfer and phone Booster service also. Last year, the venture raised capital from Bessemer Ventures and Blume Ventures.

  1. Railyatri:

In the year 2011 it was founded by Kapil Raizada, Sachin Saxena and Manish Rathi, RailYatri aims to change the ecosystem of train travel in India. The travel app provides information regarding train travel info, PNR status checking with confirmation chances, Seat availability with confirmation prediction, train time table, platform numbers, train ticket enquiry, etc. along with personalised alerts via mobile app, mobile web and SMS.

Now, it also provide facility to book bus, searching hotels and information regarding local and metro in certain cities. The company had secured funding from Nandan Nilekani, Helion Ventures, Omidyar Partners and Blume Ventures.

  1. Curofy:

The curofy was founded in the year 2014 by Nipun Goyal, Mudit Vijayvergiya and Pawan Gupta is a mobile-only platform for doctors to connect with other doctors, seek medical advice, take second opinions, post their requirements, and read and share the latest news and jobs related to medical developments.

Currently it connects about 1.5 lakhs doctor to each other and having 100 thousands of download. In October 2015, the platform secured an undisclosed amount of funding in its pre-series A round from Roudglass Partners.

  1. BroEx:

Broex was founded by Pallav Pandey in the year 2014. BroEx is a technology driven collaboration platform for real estate brokers. In this property dealers exchange inventories and requirements with another trusted brokers in and beyond his network and close deals fast.

The app network is being used by 100 thousands of brokers across cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune and many more cities. The company had raised $1 million investments from Lightspeed Ventures.

  1. Touch talent:

Touchtalent is a global community of creative people. It has creative users from 192 countries sharing their creativity (art) under 19 different categories on Touchtalent. These categories include Painting, Photography, sketching, Comics, Graffiti and many more.

“Touchtalent works on the philosophy that when we create, we have an inherent need to share and get appreciation and feedback. Sometimes we can even earn for our creativity which in turn motivates us to create more,” says co-founder Ankit Prasad. Put together users have generated more than 30,000 posts and they have touched more than 50 lakh people (impressions) and 20k+ registered users.

  1. Sheroes:

Sheroes was founded in the year 2014 by Sairee Chawala. It is a member only career network and online job portal, designed specifically to find the best jobs for women in India that match their qualifications also they can share and debate on various topics and put their opinion.

The company focuses on overall growth of a woman in all fields like personal development, career development, better relationships, better lifestyle or active contribution to society. The app having 100 thousand downloads and ranking of 4.2 on the list. The company gets investments from Lumis Partners.

  1. Ixigo:

Ixigo is a travel search engine company located in Gurgaon, India, and a mobile travel application available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone. It is an app that aggregates travel websites to compare information and deals.

It gives unique features such as automated web check-in, Smart fare alerts, Holiday calendar, Flight Status and tracking along with hotel tariffs and room rates. Alok Bajpai (CEO) and Rajnish Kumar (CTO) are the principal founders and SAIF Partners, Micromax and MakeMyTrip are investors in the company.

  1. Fitpass:

Fitpass is a Delhi (NCR) based company started to let users to work out across 1500+ gyms and fitness studios in Delhi (NCR) at monthly membership plan of Rs. 999/- only. It is available on iOS and Android as an app. Fitpass appears to be more cost-effective than any average gym membership, and offers flexibility and convenience to users to work out anytime, anywhere across thousands of top gyms and fitness studio- gym, workouts, yoga, zumba, pilates kickboxing, MMA and many more.

It is the brainchild of Akshay Verma and his sister Arushi which was launched in the year 2015 and Mumbai Angels, Shooting Stars and Franchise India Holding limited are investors in the company.

These are some mobile based startups from Delhi-NCR region which are serving customers, getting praised by their customers and in return generating great revenues.
